To Tweet Or Not To Tweet
Like most journalists, I've been all atwitter lately. I wonder, is it all the rage or has it nuked the fridge? Would I have anything valuable to offer or would it just be navel-gazing nonsense? To find out, I fake twittered for a few days. Here's a random sampling:
* The music on Splendid Table is as delicious as the show. * AT&T study: most popular love text is "thinking of you." * Isn't that a standard message in all phones? * Is this an F-bomb record for the New Yorker? Love the McEnroe reference. * Seeing Lucinda makes me love her and Bill Buford a little more. * Oontz, oontz music. Shiny white seats. Purple lighting. Does Austin Powers run Virgin Airlines?
Yeah, I for now think I'm going to stick to reading other people's tweets.

I completely agree with you. The best tweets are funny, insightful and informative. I cannot be all three, all the time in under 140 characters. Some people do it well. I think those people have a tweet editor (new line of work???).
